A contribution is money you put toward something the association is doing — a njangi turn, a borehole, your dues, a gathering, or simply a gift to the work. You choose what it is for, you say how much, and the payment happens on the payment service's own screen.

What a contribution can be for

Contributions to the branch — never access to it.

Njangi contribution

Your turn in a rotating group. The book for it stays with the group.

Development project

Toward a borehole, a classroom block, a culvert, a market shed.

Membership dues

What members pay to belong. Your village or branch sets it.

Donation

A gift to the work, not tied to any one thing.

Event ticket

A place at a gathering the association is holding.

Nothing on this list buys access to anything. Bafut TV, Bafut Radio and the classes are free, and no contribution unlocks them.

The flow

What will happen, when giving is switched on

  1. Step 1

    You choose and confirm

    You pick what the contribution is for and type the amount in francs. Nothing has moved yet.

  2. Step 2

    The payment service takes over

    Bafut Manjong asks it to start a payment and sends you to its own screen. Your PIN is typed there, never here.

  3. Step 3

    It tells the app what happened

    The payment service confirms settlement back to the app. That confirmation, and nothing else, is what makes a contribution real.

  4. Step 4

    It appears in the book

    Once confirmed it is recorded under its reference, and it counts toward what the project or the group actually received.

Be clear about this

What Bafut Manjong does not do

  • It never holds your money

    Not for a second. The payment service moves the money between you and the association; this app starts the request and reads back the answer. It cannot take, keep or return a franc, so it cannot refund one either — that is a conversation with your treasurer.

  • It never says a contribution arrived before it did

    Coming back from the payment screen is not confirmation. Until the payment service confirms settlement, this app says so plainly, and no pending contribution is counted toward any total on the site.

  • It never suggests what you should give

    There are no preset amounts on this page, no figure marked as typical and no count of who else has given. What you contribute is between you and the association.
